Email Introduction

Dear ESU 10 staff,

As part of our commitment to equitable access and to meet state and federal requirements, ESU 10 is launching an accessibility initiative to align our digital resources with WCAG 2.1 AA and ESU 10 standards. 

You may have heard of WCAG 2.1 AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1, Level AA.).  These are guidelines that help make our digital content (websites, documents, presentations, emails, etc.) easier to use by the widest range of people.  This is often referred to as making our digital resources “accessibility compliant.”

We’ve created a central hub at https://a11y.esu10.org/ with guidance, a short inventory template, weekly tips, and “office hour" signups. Over the next several months the accessibility team--Peg Coover and Jason Everett (office hours, questions, trainings) and Adam Griebel and Jon Haussler (website, employee portal, ODIE, etc.) will review and help each of us update our digital resources.
